Gerold Libby is a partner in the firm’s Los Angeles office. His practice focuses on mergers and acquisitions, corporate finance transactions, and real estate finance transactions (particularly in the hospitality sector). He also focuses on international regulatory matters, including anti-corruption and sanctions compliance matters. He has extensive experience in coordinating with foreign local counsel firms in foreign investment and other regulatory matters, in the manufacturing, technology and gaming industries, in Asia, Latin America and the Middle East. He also has significant experience in commercial finance regulation, and domestic and international trade transactions.

Mr. Libby serves on corporate boards, primarily in the manufacturing sector.  He also works with non-profit organizations, and is the General Counsel and Secretary of The World Justice Project, a non-for-profit corporation based in Washington, D.C., which engages in projects which promote the rule of law around the world.

Prior to joining Zuber Lawler Mr. Libby was a partner at Holland & Knight LLP. Early in his career he practiced for three years with one of the largest law firms in Japan, and for one year with a law firm in Korea.  He is a recognized leader of the international bar, having served as Chair of the ABA Section of International Law, and as President of the Inter-Pacific Bar Association.
